Dr. Desiree Libengood

Desirée Libengood joined North Central University’s faculty in 2010 after earning her bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Creative Writing from NCU and a master’s in English from the University of St. Thomas. She also holds an Ed.D. in Higher Education Leadership and Administration from Bethel University.

 

Over the years, Desirée has taught English at both Crown College and NCU and held several leadership roles, including Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs, and Interim Vice President of Academic Affairs. Now serving as Provost, she oversees Academics, Student Development, Spiritual Life, and Athletics—working closely with faculty and staff to strengthen academic quality and the student experience.

Passionate about diversity and collaboration in Christian higher education, Desirée has presented her research at national conferences. She and her husband, Lance, live in Minnetrista with their five children.
