Dr. Wendy VanHosen is God’s anointed and chosen vessel for such a time as this. As a barrier breaker and bridge builder, Dr. VanHosen is a voice for the
unlikely. This woman of God has an incredible Spirit-filled gift that allows her to deliver powerful life-changing messages that will challenge listeners to harness the fullness of God in their lives.
Dr. Wendy VanHosen is a native of Norfolk, Virginia, and grew up attending her families’ home church, Mount Hermon Baptist Temple in Portsmouth, Virginia. She was baptized at an early age, but truly surrendered her life to Christ after finding herself as a young divorced single mother. Grateful for the foundational seed that was placed in her, Dr.VanHosen’s life was completely transformed during an encounter with God at Grove Church in Portsmouth, Virginia under the leadership of the Rev. Dr. Melvin O. Marriner, senior pastor.
Dr. VanHosen accepted the call on her life in 2014, to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and has been blessed to deliver the Word of God to people across the Nation and internationally. In 2019, Dr.VanHosen birthed VanHosen Ministries out of the growing need for ministry that bridges generations, races, and Christian denominations through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Dr. VanHosen’s “Yes, Lord” continues to reverberate throughout the world.

Dr. VanHosen is a published author and is most proud of her seminal research on the rise of women serving as senior pastors and her work has been published in several academic journals. In addition, Dr. VanHosen is the author of the book, “I’ve Been a Fool, Now What?” which offers hope and encouragement for readers to live their best life yet.
Dr. VanHosen holds two earned Doctorate degrees; a Doctorate of Ministry from Jakes Divinity School in partnership with George Fox University and an Executive Doctorate degree in education from the College of William & Mary. In addition, she is a proud graduate of the Samuel Dewitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University with a Masters of Divinity, Old Dominion University with a Masters of Education, and Hampton University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing.
Dr. VanHosen is blessed to be married to her gift of a husband Deacon Harry VanHosen, a great man of faith. She considers it a privilege to be a mother to their blended family of four sons and one daughter. Dr. VanHosen is a wife, mother, mentor, leader, pastor, teacher, and preacher of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
