Dr. Marci Lynn Jackson
Marci Lynn Jackson’s narrative reads like a compilation of short stories filled with adventure, grief, near misses, struggles, courage, and resiliency. As life would have it, Marci found her calling through the ebbs and flows of life—her journey leading her down the road less traveled. From selling perfume door to door and at car washes while trying to find her way, to serving as Vice President of Operations and Compliance for several vocational schools and launching her own businesses, to becoming a licensed and ordained minister, she is no stranger to perseverance.
While building businesses from the ground up, Marci earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from Northwood University, graduating Cum Laude. Using this degree as a platform, she expanded her career to include community-based projects that foster college and career readiness for others. Her dedication to ministry and education continued as she earned a Master of Theological Studies from Southern Methodist University.
Her business acumen, education, and leadership have positioned her as a trusted mentor across generations. With a strong background in both for-profit and nonprofit development, Marci founded SWJ Cares Foundation, where she successfully secured over $1 million in grant funding and continues to serve as Executive Director.

In 2024, Marci achieved a lifelong dream by earning her Doctor of Ministry in Spirit-Filled Global Leadership in the African Diaspora from Jakes School of Divinity, where her dissertation passed with distinction. That same year, she married the love of her life, marking a season of profound joy and fulfillment.
Today, Dr. Jackson serves as a leader in Community Engagement for the City of Dallas, where she works to build collaborative partnerships, strengthen neighborhood networks, and promote compassionate, coordinated responses to homelessness and community needs. She is also a minister at The Life Center Texas, faithfully serving under Pastors Shavon and Cheyenne Smith, where she continues to inspire others through her authentic teaching and spiritual leadership.
As she celebrates turning 50, Dr. Jackson continues to embody faith, purpose, and perseverance. She is a living testament to what walking in sheer faith produces—believing that authenticity, courage, and a growth mindset can move mountains. A forever learner, her life remains a powerful reminder that resilience, faith, and purpose are the true cornerstones of success.
