Dr. Andrea Roby

Dr. Roby is native of Portsmouth, Virginia, and a preacher’s kid or PK, the youngest daughter of the late Bishop Albert and Mateline Moore. She has been serving God and God’s people in several ministries from a youth to as long as her memory can take her back. 

 

Dr. Roby has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and a Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Theology. She was licensed as a Minister in 2014, ordained and installed as Senior Pastor at Solid Rock Baptist Church, Chesapeake VA in 2018.  Dr. Roby is a member of the Chesapeake Coalition for Black Pastors and serves as 2nd Vice President for the Metro Minister’s Conference of Virginia.  She is also a licensed Real Estate Agent. 

 

Dr. Roby is a praising, preaching, teaching, praying and singing Pastor.  She has a heart for keeping it real and relevant to reach those who are searching for a relationship with Christ.  She is a servant leader whose purpose in life is to serve the Lord and to help others come to know Him in a real way by applying the Word of God to their everyday lives.  She cultivates a community/church family environment where EVERYONE is welcome regardless of your state or status in life, and no one is “P-R-E-Yed on” and everyone is “P-R-A-Yed for.”

 

Dr. Roby is married to Minister Clayton Roby and they reside in Suffolk, Virginia. They have seven adult children and 20 grandchildren (last count) LOL between them. Her favorite scripture is Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you, “says the Lord.  They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
